Monday, September 15, 2003 It's Safer In Iraq Following up on my recent post where I noted the odds of a yound black man being killed in Iraq are much less than if he were in Washington D.C., here's a roundup of the weekend death toll worldwide, what I found in five minutes of googling:- Guerrillas Kill U.S. Soldier in Baghdad 2 dead, several wounded in Iraq
- Police are investigating the city's first homicide in two years
- Police searching for two men in city shooting
- Police have issued a warrant for a suspect in the shooting death of a 34-year-old man who was shot and killed early Sunday in the city's 26th homicide in 2003.
- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says there's been an arrest in the fatal shooting of the sister of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams.
- Boston Police Chase, Shoot Suspect
- Three girls under five died horrific and violent deaths in Cape Town over the weekend.
- A man killed his two children and their grandfather before being shot by police in Sydney
You know what, they're killing folks everywhere, not just in Iraq. Maybe we shouldn't make a mountain out of a molehill. -- posted by Chuck at Monday, September 15, 2003 | E-mail | Permalink | Main |
