Hurricane Post

From Southern Maryland, my brother wrotes:
OK. I'm sitting here at XXXXXXX, all hunkered down. We've improvised a disaster plan for IT (they never had one). The operations guys are in much better shape. We have 93 crews ready to go, only 15 are XXXXXXX with the rest made up of contractors. In comparison BG&E; has about 150 crews. So were REALLY prepared. Many of the local businesses have boarded up their windows. People are evacuating. I evacuated twice this morning -- probably the mexican food I had for lunch yesterday. I got all my luggage with me. I think this building is much sounder than the fleebag I stay at each night.

Wife and kids are hunkered down in XXX. I hope they only get rain with <50 mph wind. They've got all the emergency stuff in the basement. It's really cloudy with light drizzle. Winds are about 10mph. Got another hurricane meeting at 9.
