As Hurricane Irma smashed by the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, setting her sights on Florida, here is the latest data on donations for Hurricane Harvey relief and recovery.

Today’s notes:

  • United Airlines did a very neat thing and set up a number of CrowdRise accounts. The airline made a donation and will provide air miles for donations at CrowdRise. $2,248,941 raised.
  • JJ Watt is now over $28 million, The CEO of grocer H-E-B donated $5 million and the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon donated a cool million.
  • The list has data on 48 telethons that have raised at least $26 million.
  • The big telethon on September 12 is now touted for both Harvey and Irma relief. Lots of big names but… 1.5 hours of air time? Did I get that right?
